Goals

I long to accomplish  great and noble tasks, but it is my chief duty to accomplish humble tasks as though they were great and noble. The world is moved along, not only by the mighty shoves of its heroes, but also by the aggregate of the tiny pushes of each honest worker.
*Helen Keller*

In the spirit of becoming that “gentle and quiet spirt, which is precious in the sight of God” I have made a few goals for myself that, with the help of God, I will achieve everyday.

1. wake up at 8am so that I can spend thirty minutes reading the Bible and praying in order to prepare my soul, mind, and body for the coming challenges of the day

2. spend 5 minutes every morning doing something good: for now I will go to freerice.com to play the vocab game and help feed children as well as the new site oneclickonemeal.com

3. read through the Bible in a year. I will do this with the help of the program set up for me at bible.christianity.com

 4. start an agape dinner party. every other friday i will invite my friends over for dinner but in order to get into my apartment they must present to me a “receipt” or some form of proof that they have donated at least $5 to some credible charity

5. for the next two weeks, taking my cues from the “two weeks of sacrifice” sponsored by 1000 Wells TAMU on behalf of Blood Water Mission, I will not spend any money, aside from the grocery store. I will then donate my budget for the next two weeks. Half of it will go to Blood Water Mission and the other half to Heifer International.

I pray for daily accomplishments, only God can truly change me.
